As if working at a gas station didn’t suck already.
Back in 2008, Barron Hilton was arrested for DUI after blowing a .14. Earlier that day, he rolled up to a gas station on Pacific Coast Highway in his Mercedes and hit Fernando Tellez, who was working the pumps. And rich people wonder why the world hates them.
Now Hilton is paying $4.9 million to Tellez, who sued him for “permanent disability.”
Tellez’s attorney says he has been forced to “undergo multiple surgeries and medical procedures” ever since the incident.
But of course, there seems to be some speculation in the media that this guy is making it all up. It’s interesting how every time a celeb gets a DUI, people are like, “he could’ve killed or hurt someone!” and then when they actually do, we’re all, “it’s not true!”
A source from Barron’s side says, “We disagree with the jury. Barron did not strike the attendant. Barron knows he did wrong. It happened 3 years ago and he’s been incredibly responsible ever since.”
It was previously reported that the Hilton family took out a $10 million loan. Maybe they’re paying for their son’s mistakes, which is totally not socialite protocol. Every celeb knows you cash in on your f-ck ups by starring in your own reality series. Come on.
