The official ‘Duchess Catherine of Cambridge fashion tour through North American’ has ended, but not without leaving enough Kate style to ruminate over for some time. We were graced with 23 outfits over the nearly two-week span, averaging 1.9 ensembles per day. We watched the duchess balance casual jeans and boat shoes, to full-length gowns and a lot of her signature knee-length shifts. Most remained in her typical color palette of creams, pastels, navy and a little red to honor her Canadian hosts.
We’ve compiled our favorite looks from the trip, and some suggestions for merging Kate’s clean and elegant choices with your own.

#1 A diplomatic hat
We have to admit, as outlandish as a bright red maple leaf topper may sound, we adored Kate’s Canada Day ensemble, accessories included. And upon a closer look at the fabrics, the leaf looks detachable, making it even more useful.
Kate re-wore the cream Reiss dress she posed in for pictures after her engagement, accompanied by red pumps, maple leaf hat and brooch on loan from the Queen. Not surprisingly, the dress is sold out on Reiss’ Web site. However, similar ruffle details can be found on a variety of casual to more eclectic designs. Allen Schwartz has a razberry satin dress with a side ruffle. Bluefly has an even more casual option by Wyatt for $54.99.
Although we love the accent of a shimmery brooch, not all of us are lucky enough to have hand-me-downs from our Queen mothers-in-law. J Crew has an adorable mini pin trio on sale for $12.99.

#2 American Love
We absolutely love that Kate chose a piece by U.S.-based designer Diane von Furstenburg. Furstenburg changed most women’s career wardrobes in the 1970s, making her now infamous wrap-dress a closet staple. The green flowy Maja dress is available on Furstenburg’s website for $398. Asos has a similar version with the same gold button details on the back for $77.58. This dress does not come with a matching belt, but lends a great opportunity to make the look individualized. Pair it with this French Connection entwined suede belt or boyfriend skinny belt, and dusky pink peep toes (or ivory like Kate).
Kate paired the dress with a leopard-print snakeskin clutch by Furstenberg, which has already sold out on Net-a-Porter. However, a similar version is available on ShopBop. For the more cash conscious, ShopBop also has a leopard print Willa clutch by Inge Christopher for $77.

#3 Red Carpet
Kate captivated crowds at the BAFTA gala Saturday night in a full-length Alexander McQueen gown. The pastel lilac was similar to the pale pink Jenny Packham the princess wore to the Ark charity gala in June. High necklines and cap sleeves are very flattering on Kate’s thin frame, and the draping style she chose several times during the trip has been showing up elsewhere. Adam Lippes has a cream colored silk chiffon tank dress that is reminiscent of Kate’s runway look. Add a shimmering belt and the piece would be perfect for a dressy night out.

#4 Sailing in Canada
While visiting Prince Edward Island, Kate donned a dress with nautical inspiration by none other than Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. The cable-knit sweater dress was cream colored with navy piping, which Kate paired with navy pumps. The charming outfit was reminiscent of Anne Shirley of Anne of Green Gables. Comparable vintage sailor looks are easy to find, like this Giselle white mini sailor frock.

#5 A dress fit for polo
The hand-painted Jenny Packham dress Kate wore to the polo match in Santa Barbara Saturday may not have been the splashiest of her choices, but it made our highlights list. Like the last Packham design she wore, the cap sleeves and high neckline flatter the princess. But her bright purple Issa dress came in closely behind it.
